Who is Edward (Ed) Matchett?:   Edward Matchett is a civil and criminal trial attorney with an office location in Douglas, AZ. Also licensed in his home state of Wisconsin, Matchett is admitted to practice in Arizona and federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Edward received his B.S., M.A., and A.B.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, and his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law. He has been practicing law as an Arizona attorney since 1985.

What's the difference between Civil and Criminal legal services?:  Civil Service organizations represent people in cases which are not criminal in nature--such as landlord/tenant issues, used car issues, domestic relations, public benefits, ect. Criminal Service organizations represent people in cases which are criminal.

What kind of cases does Ed Matchett handle?:  Edward Matchett handles a variety of cases. He has professional experience as a City Attorney, in immigration Law, Government Law, Litigation, Real Estate Law, and Business Law. Mr. Matchett has handled many civil cases in employment, real estate, personal injury, civil rights, sexual harassment, divorce and family, estates and probates. Edward has also had extensive experience in criminal cases, such as Misdemeanor and Felony.

When should I seek legal advice?:  Whenever you have been served with a court document such as a summons and complaint or a court order of any kind, you should consult an attorney immediately. In addition, if you have questions about your legal rights or status, the best policy is to consult an attorney sooner rather than later. Doing so will give you the best chance to protect or enforce your rights.
